Welcome to Narrative Point Studios

Hello, adventurers!

If you’re reading this, you’ve found me. Welcome to Narrative Point Studios! This is my first blog post. My website just went live, and honestly, it feels a bit surreal to finally say: I exist. I’m here. I’m making games.

Who I Am

I’m a solo developer, writer, and puzzle-obsessed creator who grew up playing point-and-click adventures.

I fell in love with story-driven games because they trusted me. They gave me worlds to explore at my own pace, characters worth talking to, and challenges that, when done right, made me feel genuinely clever. The best adventures didn’t hold my hand, but they also didn’t waste my time. They respected me.

That’s what I want to make.

What I Make

At Narrative Point Studios, I work in two genres that have more in common than people might think: adventure games and horror games. Both live and die by atmosphere. Both demand strong writing and deliberate pacing. Both ask the player to pay attention.

The difference? In an adventure game, you’re curious about what’s behind the door. In a horror game, you’re terrified, but open it anyway.

I love both of those feelings, and I intend to create both of them.

What I Believe

Regardless of genre, I hold to a few core principles:

Every puzzle should serve the story. If a challenge exists just to pad game length, it doesn’t belong. Puzzles should emerge naturally from the world and reveal something meaningful, or something deeply unsettling, when solved.

Fair design matters. No pixel hunting. No moon logic. No cheap deaths. Whether I’m building a cozy mystery or something that makes your skin crawl, the rules of the world should feel consistent and honest. If you’re stuck or scared, it should be because of something I designed intentionally, not because I hid the one clickable pixel behind a plant in a dark corner.

Characters aren’t quest-givers, or just victims waiting to happen. They’re people. They have personalities, motivations, and secrets. In my adventure games, talking to them should feel like a real conversation. In my horror games, you might start to wonder whether you should be talking to them at all.

Your time is valuable. Modern quality-of-life features aren’t “dumbing down” games, they’re respecting the fact that you have a life outside of them. That goes for adventure games and horror games equally.

What’s Coming

I’m currently deep in development on my first game, it’s a horror game and I can’t wait to tell you about it.

It’s called “Nonspace”

That’s all I’m saying for now. But soon, very soon, I’ll be sharing more about what I’m building, what kind of story I’m trying to tell.

I’ll be posting development updates here on the blog, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of the solo dev process, and starting conversations about game design, storytelling, and atmosphere. I believe in transparency, you’ll see my process, the good decisions, the tough cuts, the “why did I think that would work?” moments. Game development is messy and wonderful, and I want you to be part of the journey.

A Promise

I’m not going to promise you the moon. I’m not going to overhype or oversell. I’m just going to make the best games I can, with the resources I have, and I’m going to be honest with you every step of the way.

If that sounds good to you, stick around. Subscribe to updates if that’s your thing. Follow me on social media if you’re into that. Or just check back here occasionally, I’ll be here, making progress, one click at a time.

Thanks for being here at the beginning. I’m genuinely excited to share this adventure with you.

Until next time, Kristofer / Narrative Point Studios
